Kind Words
“The course on colour was so interesting; I learnt facts and information about colour and colour frequencies and colour healing that had not ever entered my realm of thinking. The older you get the more you learn about this world and the more fascinating it becomes; this course shows you a whole new world of colour that I never imagined before and how it can change your world. Thank you again for a lovely and illuminating time.” S.WK.
“Great workshop; learned a lot about the effects of colour on human and animal health and wellbeing. We were given some valuable information on this therapy. Great information for broadening one’s horizons in complimentary medicine. Thank you so much Jan and Tony.” K.M

“I found the course on the effects of colour and light to our health and wellbeing very interesting, and helpful. I will be using Jan’s advice in my daily life. Very well demonstrated and explained by Jan and a very enjoyable day.” W.FW.
“I found the colour course informative, surprising and very enjoyable. Jan is a friendly, knowledgeable, and sincere host with many years practical experience in complementary aid. I was amazed to learn so many scientific facts about colour, the different structures within its huge spectrum, and what healing qualities each individual colour has been discovered to possess. If you have an interest in knowing more about what natural, complementary healing powers exist to provide gentle help and even cure in this wonderful world that we often take too little notice of, such a comprehensive and fascinating look into this surprising subject is not to be missed.” J.S.
“I found the colour experience very informative, therapeutic, and enjoyable. Jan’s presentation was excellent, both for people who knew the concept of colour /chromo therapy and those that didn’t. I would certainly recommend without hesitation the course to anyone looking to improve their health and well-being.” M.R.
“I was really surprised how interesting this was. I’m convinced.” D.C
“Jan and her guest speaker, Tony, made our group very welcome for our introduction to working with colours, with refreshments on arrival and a chance for us to meet and get to know each other a little better. The day was fascinating and very interactive, whilst not being too challenging that we would be out of our comfort zones. Consequently, a relaxing and informative day full of laughter was had by all, full of information on how we too could use colour for our own health. Thank you so much.” S.W.
About Jan
Dr. Jan Davidson – Cert. Ed., B.A. (Hons), M.A., PhD
I have been using light as a medicine for over 50 years.
I created the Colour Healing Research Foundation in the late 1980s, later to become the Chromotherapy Research Foundation, an organisation for like-minded practitioner using colour and light medicine.
I founded and ran the College of Chromotherapy, training practitioners in the use of light as a healing agent. My three-year course was accredited by the Institute for Complementary Medicine (ICM) and the qualifying students went onto the ICMs UK register.
I was the founder and president of for the Complementary Medical Practitioners Union (CMPU) for seven years; a branch of the Manufacturing Science and Finance (MSF) Trades Union.
I was the education officer for the Institute for Complementary and Natural Medicine (ICNM) for a number of years.
In the early 2000s, I worked as a researcher for the School of Health, at Northampton University, researching the viability of the university creating foundation degrees in complementary medicine.
I have worked as a consultant to various industries and companies on lighting and colour – amongst these was consulting with and representing Playtex at the London Fashion Show.
I have also been a guest speaker on a number of radio and TV programmes:
London Talk Radio – a live phone-in radio programme. Listeners phoned in with colours that were significant to them, and I interpreted them in regard to the listeners’ physical health, emotional and mental well-being.
B.B.C. Bristol; Colour Blue – I discussed the use of blue light on the programme and how it helped in my own healing process.
Jenny Eclare Show – talked about colour and its effects on the psychological and physical well-being of listeners. I was asked to give a psychological profile of a hitherto unknown artist (to her), from a number of pictures presented on the show.
Charing Cross Hospital – I designed the colour scheme for the Asthmatic Out-Patient’s Department. This is an example of charitable work that Jan undertakes from time to time.
